Get involved

Support K-Kids as a member, sponsor or partner.

Committed young students are important to starting a K-Kids club — and helping it thrive. So are dedicated adults. Kiwanis clubs that sponsor a K-Kids club support the club’s creation and its ongoing activities by paying its fees, providing a volunteer to work with K-Kids and engaging with the K-Kids advisors, officers and members. Some K-Kids clubs are also cosponsored by a local Key Club (high school/secondary school students) or Circle K International club (university/college students). In addition, nonprofit organizations, government agencies and businesses are important partners. They offer places where students conduct service projects, and they can donate supplies and financial support, carry out fundraisers and service projects together, and provide guest speakers.

Ways to get involved

Host a club

Engage your students and community by starting a K-Kids club in your school, youth organization or other place where youth age 6-11 gather. All the resources needed to get the club going are at your fingertips.

Become a sponsor or cosponsor

K-Kids clubs usually have a sponsoring Kiwanis club, which pays its fees, provides a Kiwanis volunteer to advise, and invites K-Kids to participate in activities. A Key Club or Circle K International club can also cosponsor a K-Kids.

Become a faculty advisor

If your school or organization believes in youth leadership, service and community engagement, learn how to start a K-Kids! You can serve as the club’s faculty advisor, creating opportunities for your elementary/primary school students to grow and become service leaders in your community.

Become a Kiwanis advisor

If your Kiwanis club sponsors a K-Kids club, you can serve as its Kiwanis advisor. Working with the faculty advisor, you will support activities and connect K-Kids to your Kiwanis club. If your Kiwanis club isn’t a K-Kids sponsor, help it start a K-Kids club today in your community.

Become a K-Kids partner

Each K-Kids club needs local nonprofits, government agencies and businesses as partners — to offer resources, volunteers who carry out service with the club and places where the club contributes to causes.
